In addition to our regular weekly duties, the choir sings once a month at both services.  On these occasions, our rehearsal time is moved up to 8:25 a.m.  Therefore, we need to "Rise and Shine" to prepare for the early, 9:00 a.m. service.

 

Many of our choir members are involved in, or attend worship at 9:00 a.m.  Therefore, we have a tradition of recessing (marching out) on the second hymn of the 10:30 a.m. service.  Members who have not attended the early service may take seats and worship with the congregation for the remainder of that service.

 

On Wednesdays, we take turns bringing treats to share during our rehearsal breaks.  We also gather in prayer to share our joys and concerns at the end of the rehearsal.

 

Baby sitting services can be arranged as needed.

 

The Chancel Choir plays a key role in special worship services through out the liturgical year.

 

Advent/Christmas - Presentations are shared at both services the Sunday before Christmas and the 11:00 p.m. candlelight service on Christmas Eve.

Maundy Thursday - The choir sings for this special holy week communion service.

Easter - Joyous anthems are shared at all morning services.

Pentecost - Presentation of anthems for the entire congregation.

Summer Music - Ensembles share music for summer worship.
